Rick Trevino will perform live on stage at the Palace Theatre. Trevino is a Mexican American country music artist. Signed to Columbia Records in 1993, Trevino began his career that year with the release of his debut single, “Just Enough Rope”, the first mainstream country music single to feature separate English and Spanish-language versions. The song was included on his debut album Dos Mundos; a self-titled album followed a year later. Trevino has charted a total of fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and recorded seven studio albums. His highest-charting single, “Running Out of Reasons to Run”, spent one week at Number One in 1997.

TRIBUTE SHOW TO GEORGE JONES

 

On Saturday, June 8, the Palace Theatre presents a one night only tribute to George Jones starring country singing sensation Jeff Messinger and Joe G live on stage. Also performances by Seguin’s own Stacie Land and the one and only Cassie Whitener will be featured. George Jones will be remembered through stories and film clips by Ben Rogers. Special guest artist Big Daddy Dean will sing the Jones hit “He Stopped Loving Her Today.” 

Proceeds to help benefit the Christian Cupboard.

 TEXAS INDEPENDENT FILM NETWORK IN SEGUIN

This film showcase is an ongoing series of Texas films from the Texas Independent Film Network (TIFN) and is sponsored by the Seguin Film & Arts Festival, Palace Theatre, Davideo Productions and Red Spoon Productions.Future film screenings are currently being scheduled so titles and dates are TBA.

SEGUIN CINE MUSEUM

The museum is a collection of old motion picture films, cameras, editing equipment, and related memorabilia. It covers the history of entertainment mediums since the 1650′s to the present. Various film formats are included such as 35mm, 28mm, 16mm, 13mm, 9.5mm, Regular 8mm, Super 8mm, 70mm IMAX, paper roll films, and magic lantern slides.The museum is open during events that take place at the Palace Theatre. However, the museum can also be viewed on an appointment basis during the off times when there are no events. Contact the Palace Theatre for visitation opportunities.

PALACE THEATRE BACKGROUND

The historical Palace Theatre, located on 314 South Austin Street in Seguin, Texas, hosts a variety of events and programs for the general public. This art deco style theater, which was built in the late forties, has 2 screens available with 35mm platter movie projectors with DTS digital audio. The large theatre has 350 seats with a 40 foot silver movie screen and a stage. The smaller theatre has 160 seats on the second floor. A concession stand and bar complement the lobby area.A variety of possibilities are available for the following programs and events:
