
Background on Dr. Steve C. Baldwin
Dr. Steve C. Baldwin is the President of Deaf Television Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization encompassing literary, theatrical, athletic, and television ventures. The archived page describes him as a retired educator with nearly 40 years in deaf education across five states, an award-winning writer, and a producer, writer, and host of more than 100 national television programs for the old Silent Network. His honors include the West Texas Cultural Achievement Award, National Association of the Deaf’s Greenmum Leadership Award, and the Barbara Jordan Media Award from Texas Governor Rick Perry in 2012. He is also described as an expert on Erastus “Deaf” Smith and a Gallaudet University Hall of Fame inductee with longstanding track and cross-country records.
